Harvesting Kelp

Now is the best time in the Pacific Northwest to go to the beaches at low tide and collect kelp.

It takes a little effort to dry it.

Damn, when it starts raining it takes a little longer.

But soon it’s bone dry, you can easily crush it and make it pretty much to a powder.

Kelp is loaded with valuable, healthy stuff. Parvin uses it in all her cooking. It tastes like the ocean. It’s a great idea to substitute it for plain salt.
